18 day Trek to Everest Base Camp in 2020
Taking you to the most iconic base camp of all, at the foot of the highest mountain on earth, Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) (8848 m), this is one of the world's best known classic treks.
Mount Everest is so much more than just a mountain, to many people the mountains, particularly Mount Everest, hold spiritual significance as places to come closer to enlightenment and it's fair to say that the journey to its base camp is more than just a trek. It's a journey of discovery. Along a route dubbed by some as "the steps to heaven," every bend in the trail provides another photo opportunity– beautiful forests, Sherpa villages, glacial moraines, and foothills. For adventurers who are not afraid to go beyond, the expedition staff will bring you close to local cultures before opening a window to the top of the world.
We have again partnered up with Earth Trails Expeditions to hold a trek to Everest Base camp. This event raises funds for the QAS Legacy Scheme as well as offering you a unique opportunity to trek in Nepal. The trek will move forward a month compared to the 2019 event and will be held in March 2020. March is the beginning of Spring season in Nepal and the spring season is a delightful one for trekkers. This season leaves behind the winter cold and welcomes the warm sun with limited rainfall thus the weather in March is quite awesome for trekking. This also helps to avoid the Easter holiday season.
Full details are in the brochure below.
Please note that due to price increases in Nepal the cost for this trek has been increased in May 2019 to cover this. Anyone that signed up prior to this will pay the originally advertised price.
